In the 2020 election, every ballot initiative regarding marijuana decriminalization or legalization succeeded. The MORE Act, which would legalize marijuana at the federal level and enforce comprehensive regulations, was also passed by the Democratic-controlled House in early December. These results reveal an important aspect of the marijuana debate’s evolution: marijuana may now be one of the few truly nonpartisan topics in the United States.

20 years ago I never would have thought people could buy ganja seeds in the USA. Of course, a lot has changed with legalization and there are cannabis seed banks from the USA (not to mention overseas). The problem remains the feds’ insistence on keeping it a criminal offense. I’m doubtful things will change after the 2022 election but who can say for sure?
